Monday Morning Yoga and Mantra 9-10:30 with Amanda Atkinson
Amanda certified 200 RYT in October 2016 at Shoshoni yoga Retreat Ashram nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. There her training was focused in the tradition of Shambhava Asana, Mantra, Meditation and Pranayama. In Hatha yoga we focus on foundation and alignment while spending 3-5 breaths in each pose to find the work of each asana(posture). Through this foundation we focus on (pranayama) breath regulation . This adds the benefit of quieting the mind and relaxing the parasympathetic nervous system. Mantra and meditative practices are interwoven to create an experience rich in physicality and Zen. Leave feeling strong, rejuvenated and balanced in Mind and Body.

Wednesday Gentle Flow 10-11 Friday Prenatal with Karlie Umphrey
Karlie, explored her first yoga class in 2011 after the birth of her first son…it was as if she was meeting her body for the first time, she was intrigued with the philosophy of yoga and eager to learn more… Karlie graduated yoga teacher training in 2014 with Shanti Yoga in McCall Idaho specializing in Children. Working in a pre-school for 10 years Karlie saw the need for yoga in young children and became passionate about teaching mindfulness and body awareness to the kids. While teaching to kids is fun and playful, Karlie also enjoyed sharing the relaxing and restorative aspects of yoga to parents and teachers of the pre-school. She continued to teach until she was blessed with the pregnancy of her second boy. With this pregnancy Karlie dove deep into her personal yoga practice, in this time a new passion had blossomed. Karlie saw the significance of yoga during pregnancy and immersed herself in the journey of a mindful birth. With that new experience Karlie became an advocate for supporting and educating women through the birth process. In 2018 Karlie completed DONA Birth Doula training and is currently in training with Bliss Baby yoga. Karlie believes yoga is for everyone, her classes are breath-centered and are tailored to meet the needs of everyone as all bodies are unique. When Karlie is off the mat you will find her with her husband and two wild boys looking for their next adventure.
Tuesday 10-11 & Friday 5:30-6:30 Kundalini Inspired Yoga with Angela Rowe
Angie pairs a Kundalini Yoga-inspired routine along with slow, mindful, Hatha Yoga.
The focus is on practicing poses for the express purpose of promoting the health, strength and flexibility of the entire spine. The central nervous system is composed of the brain and spinal cord. When this system is compromised, rigid, or blocked in any way, it effects your health in deeply profound ways. This can cause you to feel exhausted, stressed out, frustrated and tired. Retaining the elasticity of your spine is crucial to your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Kundalini is the term for “a spiritual energy or life force located at the base of the spine”, conceptualized as a coiled-up serpent. Simply put, we all have a primal energy stored at the base of the spine. The practice of Kundalini Yoga is to move this energy up the spine, through the chakras, to the crown of the head, removing any blockages or resistance along the way.
Slow, mindful movement trains your central nervous system to build resilience to everyday stressors, improving overall health and well-being, which makes it as important to your health as cardiovascular exercise. The benefits include faster metabolism, a stronger immune system, reduced pain, better hormone function, improved energy, decreased stress hormones, and improved digestion.
Angie has been practicing Yoga for over 18 years. She certified 200 RYT in 2018 at Ahimsa Yoga Studio in Laramie, Wyoming because she was ready to share the benefits that Yoga brought to her life with others. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, and Yoga Instructor, she pairs her knowledge of the physical, mental and emotional body systems in a truly unique way. Come see what the power of slow, mindful movement can do for you!
